Breast Surgery Scars
What are breast surgery scars?
While modern breast augmentation, lifting, or reduction surgery has progressed extensively over the last few years, reaction to the breast surgery scars is dependent on body type, skin care, and surgical technique.
These scars may be in the armpit, around the nipple, or as an upside-down T from the nipple-areola down to the area below the breast. For most women, these scars heal well and are barely visible. If the scars are raised and keloidal, corticosteroid injections may be useful. If the scars are discoloured, fractional laser resurfacing may help.
