Who Can Benefit from CoolSculpting® Treatments

Maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise routine is a recommended approach for healthy weight loss. However, for individuals who struggle with stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to traditional weight loss methods, CoolSculpting® can be an ideal solution. This non-invasive treatment is effective in reducing excess fat in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, love handles, and double chin. It uses the mechanism of controlled freezing, along with your body’s own elimination systems, to gently remove targeted undesired fat by up to 25% in the treated area. It’s important to note that while CoolSculpting® is not intended to serve as a comprehensive weight loss solution, it can effectively target and eliminate stubborn areas of fat.

How Does CoolSculpting® Work? | Dr. Gidon Frame at Anti-Aging Medical & Laser Clinic

Who can benefit from Coolsculpting®

People with stubborn fat: CoolSculpting® is a safe and effective treatment for reducing subcutaneous fat which is located just below the skin rather than intramuscular fat which is located within the muscle (think marbling in beef).

People who want a non-invasive treatment: CoolSculpting is a non-invasive procedure that doesn’t require any surgery or incisions. This makes it a great option for people who want to avoid the risks and downtime associated with surgery.

People who want long-lasting results: CoolSculpting eliminates fat cells from the body, and these cells do not regenerate. As a result, the results of CoolSculpting are long-lasting, as long as the patient maintains a healthy lifestyle.

People who want to avoid anesthesia: CoolSculpting does not require any anesthesia, which makes it a great option for people who want to avoid the risks associated with general anesthesia.

It’s important to note that CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution, and it’s not recommended for people who are obese or have a significant amount of weight to lose. It’s best suited for people who are close to their ideal weight and want to target specific areas of fat.

Although CoolSculpting® is a wonderful treatment to eliminate stubborn fat there are some people it is not suited for. People who have the following conditions should not try CoolSculpting® because of the risk of dangerous complications. These conditions include:

  • cryoglobulinemia
  • cold agglutinin disease
  • paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria (PCH)

Ideal CoolSculpting Candidate

You are an ideal candidate if you are in good overall health, and have unwanted fat in specific areas that you want to get rid of. CoolSculpting® is a great non-surgical alternative to liposuction that is non-invasive and has little to no downtime. Ideally, you want to be within 10-15lbs of your ideal body weight and able to maintain that weight. You may also need more than one CoolSculpting® to completely eliminate a targeted area, depending on how much fat is in that area.
