How We Work
How we develop our medical information
Our aim is to be genuinely useful and honest: clear medical education, credible sources, and physician oversight — not marketing dressed up as fact.
How our medical information is developed
The information on this website is written to help you understand your health, not to sell you a treatment. Where we make a substantive medical statement — about how a condition develops, what may contribute to it, what an assessment involves, or what a treatment can and cannot reasonably do — we aim to base it on credible evidence and to say plainly when evidence is limited or mixed.
When we draw on research, we use the strongest source available and prefer, in order: Health Canada and Canadian regulatory information; Canadian clinical guidelines and specialty societies; high-quality international guidelines; Cochrane and other systematic reviews and meta-analyses; randomized and strong prospective clinical studies; and, where independent evidence is limited, expert consensus and appropriately disclosed manufacturer-supported research. We keep a clear line between what a device is authorized for and what it has been shown to do — regulatory status is not the same as proof of a result.
Physician review
Our medical content is developed under the oversight of the clinic’s physicians and has been reviewed for clinical accuracy and context by Dr. Gidon Frame, Medical Director of the Anti-Aging Medical & Laser Clinic (CPSBC). Pages carry the date they were last medically reviewed (currently August 2026) and are reviewed again periodically as medical evidence evolves. A physician’s name is not used as a decorative device: review means the content has been checked for medical accuracy.
