Technology
Secret PRO is a two-technology platform: Secret PRO CO₂ fractional laser resurfacing for acne scars, fine lines and sun-damaged skin, and Secret RF microneedling for deeper collagen remodelling.
Anti-Aging Clinic can explain how this technology may fit into care, answer your questions, and help you explore the next step with a specialist.

Secret PRO is a skin resurfacing platform with two technologies. Secret PRO CO₂ is a fractional laser that resurfaces the skin, and it's used mainly for acne scars, fine lines around the mouth and eyes, and sun-damaged skin. Secret RF microneedling works in the deeper skin, remodelling the dermis to refine texture and encourage new collagen.
Because the two work at different depths, your plan can use one or both, at an intensity matched to your skin, your goals and the recovery time you have.
Secret PRO CO₂ fractional laser. The laser's light is absorbed by water in the skin, creating a fine grid of tiny treatment columns while the skin between them stays intact. Your skin heals these columns from the surrounding tissue, replacing worn surface skin with fresh skin and building new collagen over the following weeks. Settings range from light, for a gentler refresh, to intensive, for deeper resurfacing of scars and lines.
Secret RF microneedling. Fine needles pass into the skin and release radiofrequency energy at a set depth in the dermis. The heat prompts the skin to remodel and lay down new collagen, while the surface is largely spared.
Used together or in stages, the two technologies treat the surface and the deeper skin within one plan.
Secret PRO CO₂ is used mainly for:
Secret RF microneedling is used for deeper dermal remodelling: uneven texture, enlarged-looking pores, acne scarring, stretch marks and scars, and firmer-looking skin where it has started to loosen or look crepey.
A focused CO₂ handpiece is also used on selected small, superficial benign skin lesions, after assessment.
Anti-Aging Medical & Laser Clinic
Anti-Aging Medical & Laser Clinic can help you explore this technology, related treatments, and connected concerns.
Secret PRO treatments are carried out within our physician-led medical clinic, with settings chosen for your skin. Here's what's expected, what's less common, and when treatment is best postponed.
Common, temporary effects: redness, swelling, warmth, pinpoint bleeding, small scabs or crusts, dryness and peeling while the skin heals. Small white bumps called milia, or a brief flare of breakouts, can appear as the skin recovers.
Less common risks: burns or thermal injury, prolonged redness, infection, changes in pigmentation and scarring. These are more likely with deeper settings. With RF microneedling, heat delivered deeply can occasionally affect the fat layer beneath the skin and change the contour of the area. When stretch marks are treated, they can lose more pigment and look lighter than the surrounding skin.
Skin tone. Pigment change, meaning darker or lighter patches, is a particular consideration for darker skin tones. Settings, intensity and skin preparation are chosen with your skin tone in mind, and daily sun protection afterwards helps your skin heal evenly.
Cold sores. Resurfacing and microneedling can reactivate cold sores in people who get them. Let us know your history, as preventive antiviral medication is often advised before treatment.
Eye protection. Protective eyewear is worn throughout CO₂ treatment, and the eye area is shielded when treatment is close by.
Skin lesions. A lesion is always identified before it's treated with the focused CO₂ handpiece, so anything that needs a diagnosis gets one first. If there's any doubt, a physician assessment or biopsy comes first.
Reasons to postpone or reconsider:
This is not a complete list. Your health history is reviewed before treatment, and a listed item may simply mean adjusting your plan or choosing another technology.

Visible pores and an irregular skin surface often linked to oil, acne, or aging.
Skin that looks less smooth or radiant and feels uneven because of surface irregularity.
Visible facial creases that develop from repeated expression, collagen loss, sun exposure and skin dryness.
Reduced firmness and mild tissue descent related to aging and the decline of collagen and elastin.
Loose neck skin, horizontal creases, or visible muscle bands that can reduce definition of the neck and jawline.
Changes in skin colour or texture from rapid stretching, injury, or surgical healing.
A softer or less-defined jawline shaped by chin structure, facial fat, muscle size, skin laxity, or tissue descent.
Changes in body shape driven by fat distribution, muscle loss, skin laxity, pregnancy, aging or weight fluctuation.

FAQ
Secret PRO CO₂ is a fractional laser that resurfaces the skin, so it's the main choice for acne scars, lines around the mouth and eyes, and sun damage. Secret RF microneedling delivers heat deeper in the skin through fine needles, remodelling the dermis to refine texture and build collagen. Many plans use one, and some combine both.
It depends on which technology is used and how intensive the treatment is. RF microneedling often means redness and swelling for a few days. Intensive CO₂ resurfacing involves a longer period of redness, peeling and healing, so we'll plan it around your calendar.
That depends on your concern, your skin and how the two technologies are combined. Some plans use a single, more intensive resurfacing session, while others use a series of lighter treatments. Your plan is built around your goals and how your skin responds.
Yes. Acne scars are one of the main reasons patients choose Secret PRO CO₂, and RF microneedling is also used for scarring. The approach is matched to your scar type, its age and your skin, and your consultation sets out what to expect.
Many people with darker skin tones can be treated with careful planning. Pigment change is a particular consideration, so settings, intensity and skin preparation are chosen for your skin. We'll look at your skin type and history with you before anything is planned.
Your plan is built around your concern, your skin and the recovery time you have. Secret PRO CO₂ may be planned as one more intensive resurfacing treatment or as a series of lighter ones. Secret RF microneedling is planned as a course of sessions spaced several weeks apart, so collagen has time to remodel between visits. Some plans use both technologies, together or in stages.
We review your skin tone, recent sun exposure, health history and medications, including any isotretinoin use, and ask about cold sores and how your skin has healed in the past. Please avoid tanning in the weeks before your session. We may ask you to pause retinoids and exfoliating acids in the days beforehand. If you get cold sores, preventive antiviral medication is often advised, and for pigment-prone skin a skin-preparation routine may be suggested first.
Numbing cream is applied first, and other comfort measures are used as needed. Protective eyewear is worn throughout, and the eye area is shielded when treatment is close by. With RF microneedling, each pulse feels like firm pressure with a brief warm prickle. With CO₂ resurfacing, you'll feel heat and some stinging, more so at intensive settings.
Secret RF microneedling may be combined with topical VAMP (PDRN), exosome-based skincare formulations and professional serums, applied topically by our trained laser technicians. Product selection is based on your skin and our clinical protocols.
After Secret RF microneedling, redness, warmth and swelling are common for a few days, and swelling is often most noticeable the next morning. A faint grid of pinpoint marks may show for a short time.
After Secret PRO CO₂, recovery follows the intensity. Lighter treatments mean a shorter recovery, with redness, mild swelling and some flaking as the surface renews. Intensive resurfacing needs a longer healing period: the skin is red and swollen at first, then darkens, crusts and peels as fresh skin forms underneath, and it can stay pink for a while afterwards. We'll time an intensive treatment around your calendar.
Caring for your skin. Follow the aftercare plan you're given, using gentle cleansing and the products we recommend, and wait to restart active ingredients until we advise. Keep treated skin out of the sun and use broad-spectrum sunscreen every day once it's healed enough. Makeup, heat and vigorous exercise are usually paused briefly. Please contact us if you notice increasing pain, spreading redness, blisters or discharge.
Once the surface has healed, skin looks fresher and smoother. Collagen keeps remodelling over the following months, so acne scars, lines and texture continue to soften, and a course of RF microneedling is best judged well after the final session. Your result is shaped by the concern treated and its depth, your skin type, the intensity used, how you heal and your daily sun protection. Individual results vary.
Daily sunscreen protects your new skin and collagen, and a medical-grade routine from our online shop keeps texture and tone smooth between visits. Periodic maintenance treatments can be planned to hold your result as your skin continues to change.
