Understanding Silhouette InstaLift.
Silhouette InstaLift is a minimally invasive thread lift that gently lifts and repositions the midface. Absorbable sutures fitted with tiny bidirectional cones hold the tissue in its lifted position, and as the material is gradually absorbed, it encourages your skin to build its own collagen.

How does Silhouette InstaLift work?
Small bidirectional cones spaced along each suture anchor into the soft tissue from two directions. When the thread is placed and gently drawn, the tissue is repositioned and held in a lifted position.
The sutures are made from absorbable polymers of the poly-lactic acid family. While they're in place, they provide the mechanical lift. As your body slowly absorbs them, the tissue's response to the material encourages new collagen, which supports a gradual improvement in skin firmness.

Silhouette InstaLift gently lifts and steadies soft tissue, most commonly in the midface. It's well suited to mild to moderate laxity in people who'd like a lift through a minimally invasive procedure.

Safety, side effects and considerations
Common, temporary effects: swelling, bruising, tenderness, and a feeling of tightness, dimpling or puckering that usually settles.
Less common risks: infection, visible or palpable sutures or cones, persistent skin irregularity or dimpling, asymmetry, thread migration or extrusion, and injury to nearby structures or nerves. Results can occasionally be uneven, and further treatment may be needed.
Reasons to postpone or reconsider: active infection or inflammation in the area, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a bleeding disorder or blood-thinning medicines, an autoimmune condition, a tendency to keloid or raised scarring, and a known allergy to the suture material or local anesthetic. Your physician reviews your medical history and checks that a thread lift suits you before treatment.
Aftercare. For a short time after your thread lift, avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, facial massage, opening your mouth very wide and dental work, and sleep on your back if you can. Contact the clinic if you have increasing pain, redness or swelling, or a thread you can see or feel coming through the skin.
